(Lime Crime) Palette D'Antoinette

Lime Crime released a brand new, five shadow palette inspired by Marie Antoinette.
"Five pastel hues, each reminiscent of royal confectionery delights, offer luxurious payoff, velvety texture and superb blendability.

I am so in love with this palette. I'm not really a pastel kinda girl, but something about this palette, and these colors just makes me want it so badly! I love Lime Crime's packaging. It's always so girly and unique and completely beautiful. I really can't rave about this brand enough. Oh, and, as always, these products are vegan and cruelty free :) This has been available since May 1st 2012. If you're interested, you can get it here for $34.99.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects

I've been interested in trying the Sally Hansen Salon Effects for awhile now. And, just my luck, a set was included in my Influenster Spring Beauty VoxBox (which I'll review once I've tested all of the products). They boast "no dry time" which is very enticing to me because I feel like my nails never dry! It's such a pain. Anyway, I received the leopard print strips. Leopard isn't really my style, but hey! They're cute and free, so I'll give 'em a try :)
I was gonna wait until I took photos of everything in my VoxBox before trying anything out, but I just couldn't resist. So, while I was sitting around, watching Toddlers and Tiara's, I went to work on my nails. With the "no dry time" gimmick, I expected that it would be quicker and easier than applying polish regularly. BUT, it took me about forty-five minutes to do all ten of my nails. In my opinion, it took way too long for my liking. I suppose that if you're the type to decorate and design your nails, as opposed to just painting them a color with no design, then this would be a quick and easy alternative. Don't get me wrong, I think the entire concept is great and I love the designs. Because I'm not very good at doing my nails. I can paint them, but when it comes to designs, or anything of the like, it just ends up looking like a mess. So, these are fun! But, I think I'd prefer just regular polish. I'm too impatient for things like this.

If you're interested in trying these out, they're available at Walmart, Walgreens, Target, etc. for $9.99
(if you decide to give them a try, lemme know what you think!)

Nail Polish Obsession!

I've always been a big fan of nail polish, but I never really painted my nails very often. Mainly because I'm a nail biter and, for the most part, they're always short. And I'm not a fan of stubby little painted nails. But, if I keep my nails painted, I don't bite them. So, I've been painting my nails every third or fourth day (depending on if the polish I'm wearing has chipped a lot, a little, or not at all). I have a pretty decent sized polish collection, so I've been trying to take advantage of it and use a different color each time I've painted my nails. I did notice that I didn't have a light, opaque purple or a true blue color. When I was at Walgreens I saw this gorgeous purple Wet N' Wild polish, so I swatched and it was absolutely perfect. It looked a little lighter in the bottle than it looks on the nails after two coats. It ends up being a blue-toned purple that I totally love! Then I strolled over to Walmart and looked at the Pure Ice display. I am totally in love with Pure Ice! They always seem to have the exact color I'm looking for. This day was no different! "French Kiss" (a true blue) immediately caught my eye and then a second later I saw "Strapless" (which is a clear polish with the most gorgeous blue glitter in it, you will ever see). Putting Strapless over two coats of French Kiss is so amazingly beautiful. I seriously can't stop looking at my nails! I need to take pictures when the lighting in my room is a little better. But, for now, these pictures I found on Google will have to do :)

The Wet N' Wild Megalast polish is $1.99 and Pure Ice sells for $1.97. Very cheap for such great quality and color selection.

Lime Crime!

I heard about Lime Crime a long time ago through watching Skye Sweetnam's youtube videos. She was using a few of their eyeshadows and they were just... beautiful! Bright, fun, highly pigmented. Which is right up my alley. I don't think I own a single neutral colored eyeshadow - I'm definitely all about bright and colorful shadow. Recently, I've gotten into wearing lipstick (I've never been a big fan or glosses or lipsticks, simply because my lips are kinda small, and I really didn't want to attract any extra attention to them) and I was browsing amazon.com for a nude lipstick and came across Lime Crime's Coquette. It is exactly what I've been looking for! It's this beautifully opaque nude and I'm completely in love with it. No one seems to make an opaque nude lipstick and it's all I want in the world (haha!). But, at $16 a pop I simply can't afford it right now. Along with all of their other gorgeous lipsticks. I seriously want them all!

Aside from the wide variety of amazing colors, the names of all of their products are so fun. And I think all of their products (aside from one) are vegan and cruelty free.  I just love this brand!
